I was elated when obama became president because of historic reasons but truth is he lied jus like the all of the presidents cause during the campaign candidates will say whatever to gain trust but once they make it they're told what to do by bankers and other hidden powers. @toscodav What spending do you reduce? I'm asking for a couple of examples. I agree that some spending cuts are necessary, but tax revenues have to increase also. The top federal rate is current around 36%. If you're paying more than that, you need a new accountant. Taxes were lower during Reagan and Bush I, so I has wrong on "historic" low, but the top rate is incredibly low compared to tax history. Google tax rates over the last 50 years and read the usnews link from April 2010.

Our government just spent 1 billion dollars on a war with Libya that accomplished absolutely nothing.

1. I never said there shouldn't be any taxes, the question is at what rate. and you say I don't read.

2. By reducing spending, you have more money to pay off teh debt so you don't need to raise taxes.

3. Do you really think there is enough space here to list everything the government wastes money on? Doesn't being 20 trillion in debt tell you all you need to know?

4. Taxes are at a historic low? Its now obvious you don't pay taxes like I do if you believe that.

@toscodav Again, reading comprehension, not your thing. Notice in my response, I said "politicians" not "republicans" used it as a piggy bank, meaning that both parties are guilty of that. It's funny that an apparent Fox News fan is calling me a lemming. To answer your astoundingly stupid question, the government needs to tax to function. Taxes are at a historic low. How do you expect to pay off debt by reducing revenue? Wasteful spending is a generic talking point. Be specific or stfu.
