This is the shorter 30 second version of the famous 1982 Federal Express (now FedEx) TV commercial created by Ally & Gargano, written by Patrick Kelly and Mike Tesch, and directed by Joe Sedelmaier. Actor John Moschitta, Jr. appears as Mr. Spleen the fast talking executive. Video remains the property of FedEx, all rights reserved.

You're both right. My brother Patrick was the copywriter for all the humorous commercials. He saw Joe Moschitto (sp?) on television one night and contacted him the next day. In developing so much copy for the commercial he "tuned in" to what our other brother, Dennis, talked like (he was a wheeler-dealer.) Joe Sedelmaier was the producer and responsible for the distinctive camerawork and framing of the commercials.

There was a Purolator Courier ad that was inspired by this, but it was one guy at a desk talking about delivering something on time, and they made it even funnier by leaving the stress visible. He's sweating bullets and looks like he's about to blow up, and at the end his head collapses onto his desk. The guy was played by my dad. I swear the damn thing exists, it was on his demo reel for years! Does anyone remember it or know where I might find it?
