THE CUTTING VEG (TV pilot)

A celebration of vegetarianism, this lively, dynamic series shows that - far from being deprived - veggies are having a great time! Presented by Eva Gray, the show includes a rich variety of celebrity interviews, location reports and gardening tips, in addition to studio based meal preparations. The Cutting Veg shows that vegetarians are finding their way of life delicious, healthy and fun!

This programme is not just for those who are already vegetarians. It appeals to all ages and is suitable for family viewing, of interest not just to those concerned about their health, also to anyone who enjoys cooking or gardening, those who enjoy entertaining, anyone on a tight budget, and others who will be fascinated by the celebrity slots. Entertaining and informative, the series explores the abundance of support for existing and would-be vegetarians and looks at all the veggie-friendly products and services that are available.

Strands - Cookery, Celebrity Veggie, Location Report

Cookery:- Each episode shows & demonstrates how to prepare a vegan recipe & Eva invites members of the public to taste the food and give their verdict.

Celebrity Veggie - Each episode introduces a celebrity who has opted to live a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle and they discuss why they made the choice and how they find it. Guests confirmed for series one include Benjamin Zepheniah, Jenny Seagrove, Rita Tushingham, Heather Mills and Leona Lewis.

Location Report - Each episode see Eva Gray or one of our roving reporters out on location, meeting gardeners who advise on growing vegetables, fruits and herbs, trying out vegetarian and vegan restaurants, meeting and interviewing health professionals, people from vegetarian and vegan organisations & finding out all about the latest information on health issues and environmental concerns, how vegetarian living can help reduce global warming. There are also sections visiting animal shelters and people with pets that have been rescued from factory farms and laboratories.
