Dreamworks Animators "PUSH IT"

after the popularity of "Footage Loose" we were asked to create "PUSH IT". A comedy video that was to be shown before a day long acting workshop for the animators. To help loosen us up and get us in good spirits. Enjoy. It's a really dumb parody of those wierd 80's rock videos. Starring Dreamworks animators and showcasing the live action reference they've shot on the job while creating your favourite animated movies.
I do not own any rights to the music in this video. It's only used for parody purposes. Our workplace does not authorize, or endorse this video.

hahaha were some of those shots reference footage for some of your films?? what was the one in the swimming pool? such a funny video!!

yeah all the reference shots in this short were live action reference that the animators made when animating our movies. There's tons of different ones from Guardians, Puss in Boots. And the swimming pool one was from Dragons when Stoick is trying to save toothless from drowning.

This is about the 14th time I've watched this video, and I still laugh so hard every time. SO INSPIRATIONAL. 4 more years and I will work at DreamWorks, too. >:D

HAHA. That's the cardboard cut out of Jeffery Katzenberg. The CEO of Dreamworks Animation. We couldn't get him up to the San Francisco studio for the shoot so we just used the cardboard cut out.

that's amazing reference! hahah! i noticed the laser dot shot from the beginning of puss in boots. that's inspiration to get better reference next time i animate! so, see you in 3 years ;)
