In this grammar Video, #28, we introduce the "past participle" verb tense and the auxiliary verb "have / has". We practice making statements and questions using the Present Perfect structure. We use the present perfect structure to communicate about action when time is NOT finished! Action is finished or not started!
Grammar is important to communicate about when action happens.

  • Sir. I was born in London to English parents. I grew up in Australia. Both countries have English as a national language.

If I am not a "native English" speaker I wonder who is?

My perspective on teaching English Grammar is a little different to the mainstream, which is exactly why I chose to publish it. Think about it!

  • Dear Calgary. Thank you for your comment. This is the first constructive criticism I have received in over 1 year.

I really do appreciate the feed-back.

In the "Introduction video (#1) I explained that "The Magic Time Line" was never intended as a "grammar" series. Rather, it was created to help non-native English students "see" the basic structures of English.

Be it right or wrong, in common English, the verb of "go" can be either "gone" or "been", depending on the position of the speaker.
