  • i was paid by the bbc to play the whistle at the end of this piece. i used a few milk bottles and had to wait for the bongos to fade out before playing. i was paid £25.

  • @rightfredsdead For real? Haha. You've gotta be having a laugh! O.o

  • Did anybody else notice that phone didn't ring, not once during all the years of John's broadcast! I bet it was just there for show, it probaly wasn't even connected!

  • John Craven is required to have his full name in the title of any project he's involved with.

This is confirmed in John Craven's Contract, which can be viewed on John Craven's Website.

  • Looking on Google it appears the guy going for the water speed record failed. The guy going for the land speed succeeded and Leeds still have some dodgy fans.

  • They don't do panda stories anymore. they should bring them, and John Craven, back. Also bring back the seriousness.

  • @ATLHockey9 America is better than what ? This is a news programe from 15 years before you were born, muppet. but,FYI,america is slightly better than a septic hole in your big toe, thats about it...........

  • The flute rift at 0:17 kills it

  • Cracking episode. The usual annual firework warnings, opening of Channel 4 and dirty leeds. Then a musical youth follow up. Classic

  • But this shit is funny

  • America is better

  • @stuartwr69 yep, I believe that to be the case.lol

  • i supplied john craven with all his ties

i still make them for john oaks and lee derferm

  • @mcwolfus I think he sometimes used the phone to speak to Reg Turnill, the space correspondent
