@SouthernSilverado42 Find Old Bucktown Road on google maps, then you can use the map figure out how to get to that road. I usually go in through amicalola falls state park, then use there service roads to accesss Old Bucktown and other roads

yeah i know what you mean. this was a big help thanks a lot!

There are no fees. I really wouldn't call it wheeling. Its just gravel roads, some really maintained and some less. I think you can camp anywhere, but just follow the US Forestry service rules. Enjoy.

thanks a ton man! i will be going asap! by the way is it free to wheel there? and what are the rules as far as camping? can you camp just anywhere??

We usually start at the Ranger Camp outside of Dahlonega, but the forestry roads weave all over N Georgia. Get a map, pick a spot to start, and explore. You will love it.
Hey I live down in alpharetta and have heard about these forestry roads and wanna check them out, where is a good place to get started? Everywhere ive looked online makes it sound like the rangers would not be to cool with my truck drivin through their woods

Do not just go driving through the forest. Stay to marked trails. You will find some to look like a highway that you could take a Lexus down and others that 4wd is a must.
