Thats about a decade old inst it maybe you could slightly over clock it to about a decent 1 ghz.

@ilovemaryam08 I also have an L400, with 256MB ram and a budget SSD. Have you tried Ebay? They should have 256 MB modules (144 pin SODIMM at 100MHz). I have a budget SSD by combining a Compact Flash (CF) camera card with an adapter to mini-IDE. Not the fastest performance but its a lot cheaper! Good luck :D

@fmen2007 Try a lite version of windows 7 next time.

Use a lite version of xp, Avoid memory hog applications. Keep it simple.

This demonstration is impressive, i also have latitude L400 but i have problem installing OS on it, i have no CD drive, no Floppy, i have network, and i tried to boot up from network, using free TFTP server on other machine, but i needs some mba.img file, that is closet i get till now. Do you have any advice which is helpful?
