  • hey, can someone post or discuss what is the connection or relation of this clip to business ethics?

  • @SupeRiehan This video was part of an in-class presentation. It presents a business case where the CEO of Monsters Inc. has to balance the ethics and effectiveness of production methods with profit pressures from investors. Following the video, we had a class discussion on the issues presented in the video and how they were similar to issues faced by real companies. Thanks for your question!

  • It is nice to see how you tried to incorporate a nice movie in showing business ethics. but, honestly from what I saw I did not quite get what you are trying to point. during the start I can relate more to part where they watch the TV to advertising. It shows how that commercial of Monster Inc. is convincing people about the good things that they do to serve and provide energy for them.

  • @dayspeace Thanks for your comments. The video was intended to initiate a class discussion about Business Ethics, which it did.

  • Ok, your comments and questions were just fine. Good job on raising the right issues. But your presentation honesly stunk. Two things: 1) scratch the highly bizarre background music when you put a title up, 2) Even if you're stuck with Windows Movie Maker, your titles could have looked SO much better! In these particular regards, an 11 year old could have done better.

  • @SpicyCorbin14 Thanks for the (somewhat) constructive comments. I agree that the video editing could have been better. I'm certainly no expert there. As for the music, Depeche Mode would probably be flattered that you think they're bizarre. I was kind of impressed that I was even able to add music and transitions at all.

I coach youth soccer players, so I know that some 11 year olds are quite talented and are probably better than me at many things (e.g. video games and apparently editing too).

  • @MyNameIsHanselable It was, yes.

  • @bdickson14: Hey dude, sorry, I was way too harsh on this video. It's honestly way more beneficial than 99% of the other superficial videos I find on youtube, and I wish I could see more videos that raise questions in the viewer about American corporations and the morality of a businessman. Keep doing what you're doing
