Beautiful. Could you tell me exactly how you made it? IDK anything about nodes or whatever in blender. I know how to use RGB curves and whatnot in AE though...
are there any tuts that explain it? I know how to use water and stuff, but lighting and nodes and stuff... not so much.

I WANTED AN ANIMATION NOT ACTUAL FOOTAGE

what if they used these simulations in video games that would be amazing

that looks like some taste water

Meh, seen better.

Very realistic, great animation

@terminator7565 Yes, it is free to download and use.

This is terrific. Rendered in 25 seconds? How did you do that? Just curious since I've seen others have mentioned hours. So, was this done entirely in Blender and rendered? Looks fantastic!

@kirkeric Thanks!
Not including any background scene geometry allowed me to use a very simple lighting setup (neither image based lighting nor global illumination, just one single lamp behind the objects), reducing the render times greatly. The vector blur pass is also quite fast at about 3 seconds per frame.

Amazing! Absolutely the best and most realistic fluid sim I have seen yet for Blender. Nearly every other sim, the liquid seems way too thick, more like liquid metal, but yours really does look like water. Is this just a function of the 250 resolution you used? Or are there some other factors you tweaked?

@iDusty909 I think that most of the time the fluid resolution, the domain size and the simulation timescale do not fit together very well. By default, Blender uses its 250 frames to simulate 4 seconds of real time, resulting in a slow motion effect. This animation is set to 300 frames and 10 seconds and the domain size is more realistic (0.3 meters I think).
