The Bible clearly states that Christians have a divine responsibility to give of themselves to help the poor and weak. Many Christians already support Health Care reform, but some of the people showing intense animosity to Obama and Health Care Reform are doing so by waving their Bibles in the air and this doesn't make sense. All Christians should care for the sick and needy if they wish to enter the Kingdom of God.

  • Yes, exactly! Jesus never told governments to help the poor, he challenged individuals to do so. As far as I know, Jesus was also against theft which is why no one's money should be taken to help anyone else.

  • @ReddNeckerson If you think that taxes are theft then you are painfully ignorant of history. You have democratically elected representatives who vote on your behalf. You have the right and ability to vote against them, you have the right and ability to move states or even move from country if you do not prefer the tax structure here... and did not Jesus say to pay Caesar's things to Caeser? Jesus told you to pay the govt the legal amount owed.

  • @joelwyland True, there are functions of government that taxes are needed for. However, helping the poor is not one of them. In America, when we use the excuse that Jesus advocated helping the poor for our welfare system, we violate the separation of church and state.

  • @ReddNeckerson That is correct. At no point am I stating that the government is allowed to tax you because Jesus said so. I said that it was actually based in our representative democracy. I was merely including the bit about Jesus to show that Christians shouldn't claim that taxes are theft and Christians should consider the paying of taxes to be a mandate from their Savior.

  • @kevinneslund It is surprising that you have taken the time to Troll out this kind of an area of discussion. But isn't that the way bullying works? A bull must constantly look for targets to charge at.

It is funny, however, when one stops to concider, how most people of some even minimal academic achivement will often land on the side of opinion that, bullying is one of those activities engaged in by those with the more minute of brain mass.

  • Very well spoken... The Poor are on this planet to 'Test' the Rich... If you are Wealthy And Selfish you are not a Christian. If you are Wealthy and Giving... (and that does not include giving in 'exchange' for services) but Giving to those who are 'undeserving' Then you are right with God.

  • @brik9r : I'm surprised you're so naive and cerebrally vapid.

  • Thanks for the video; i'm surprised there aren't more comments in regards to this video.

  • Amen to this not a truer word said
