my ebay username is ontariomaximus. This is my latest 4 watt full tube head amp in a beautiful solid walnut cabinet. Speaker is a single 12" Celestion Classic Lead 80 in a diy sealed cab.

  • Sounds like plenty enough gain to me, and I primarily play death metal. There is such a thing as TOO MUCH gain.

  • Well, not as loud as a 50 watt solid state amp, but ten times the wattage can only be twice the volume. And to bbbobbbieo, your solid state amp may have a smaller speaker. Ontariomaximus is using a very effecient 12". your combo might have a bad 8 or 10" speaker.

  • Hm.. still searchin' for the "highgain" ^^

    Sounds great 'though.

  • how are the pickups on that blue schecter behind you?

  • Why is he a dick, you hear the term "High Gain" and you assume it is going to be some rip your face off Mesa. You evidently do not know jack shit about guitar amps. TO the maker of the amp.. great sounding amp 4 watts of fury!

  • first off, tube watts are way louder (I'd guess this is at least as loud as a 50 watt solid state amp). Second, what makes these amps sound so amazing is the fact that their power tubes (the ones connected to the "master volume") are fully cranked, which gives this an amazing sound. These little tube amps sound best with everything cranked all the way. try a little tube amp and you'll be surprised.

  • Why do you make the amps so small?

My 10 watt solid is barely loud enough to hear when I play with my friends, unless I kick it into over drive, but then, it sounds really scratchy and has a terrible hiss.

Is the tube better at low watts?

Does it make bad hiss in over drive?

Where do you buy your materials?

Can you hear it over (or with) friends playing?
