I do have video of the incedent from above - it does look very similar. He may have been observing before stopping.

It is a shame about the cop stuff, b/c this thing was such a cool urban phenomenon and, i think, newsworthy in its own right. I hope it does not get overshadowed by the unfortunate happennings at the end.
