Sounds to me like she could still be in denial when she states her alters were created after witnessing some brutal freak deaths at a young age. These deaths concerned OTHERS not herself, even if the spectacle must have been dreadful.

It is far more likely that she herself was abused and that she actually hasn't recovered the memories.

It is interesting to see responses by non-experts in the field. This disorder does exist. It is in the DSM-IV it is very real. As a Licensed Psychotherapist I have come across clients with this disorder, and it is not a funny thing, it is very painful, and at the same time can be helped, but with real intensive work with a specialized therapist, not just any Licensed Psychotherapist, or Marriage & Family Therapist. It you want to be taken seriously try to state opinions about things you know

Yes, I'm aware of that but it doesn't invalidate my observation since the deaths she observed were not of that order according to her, meaning they were not part of a programmed aimed at HER, she was merely a witness to some freak deaths which is hardly likely to account for her predicament, wherefore it would indeed seem she's in denial about the ACTUAL CAUSE of her (former?) multiplicity.
