I cannot explain to you what this record did to house parties in Los Angeles back in the 70's. You had to be there.

Like I've said previously. The majority of the acts that went on Soul Train back in the day would lip synch to whatever groove was bumpin'. Some acts actually performed live ala' Smokey, Marvin, Stevie, James & The JB's, War etc. The Chairmen performed this live and tore it the eff up. They definitely were due more pub then they got. R.I.P. General Johnson.

Not heard this for 40 years - it's quite amazing to reconnect with it after all this time!!! I also had Band of Gold by Freda Payne on the same label too! Classics one and all!

Heard this on Radio London today----- It slayed me! I remember all the members of th Inner Space Club in Pimlico doing the dance routine to this amazing track way back in 1971 when I was fifteen.
