This took place in a team doubles match when my teamates sniper bullet somehow hit me it was as if it bounced off an invisible wall.
It has recently been concluded that the sniper bullet indeed bounce off an object, from what people have been saying it was the grenade.

The bullet bounced off the grenade, off the wall, off a sentinel, into the void at the bottom of the map, through a wormhole, off a wall in Foundry, off a Red's foot, off the floor, through one of the industrial fans, and through a wormhole positioned in front of the guy at a 45 degree angle, right to your helmet, and therefore through your skull. The wormholes were invisible, and thus all you saw was a smoke trail at a weird angle.
It's that simple.
