That's not a R5 Turbo, that's a R5 GT Turbo ! R5 Turbo 2 deliver 160 hp, the R5 GT turbo phase 1 115/phase 2 120. And i don't think that shitty punto is stock cause the Gtt is more lighter and can smock easily that italian shit

and yes, a near enough stock italian baby ferrari (aka punto GT) wiped the floor with "French" R5 GTT.. i like these cars as much as u but get ur fingers out of ur backside, face the facts and live with it!

not to speak of the craaaazy turbo of (1981) that delivered 160bhp from a 1.4 engine. so bottomline is both the r5 turbo's and the punto gt's are awesome fun but im afraid the punto is a bit of a copycat(wannabe legend) coz of the late build compared to the real legends.

punto is faster when both are stock,the r5 has better grip and both are turbo charged so equally tunable.both are awesome cars with a reputation of beeing unreliable.the only difference between the 2 is the that the gt5 is older (1985)116bhp(1987)120 bhp(legendary) in the time they build it it was crazy power for a 1.4 engine while the punto gt has a bit more power from a 1.4 engine its not legendary coz it is mutch younger and build at(1994)where 136bhp wasnt that impressive anymore

Modded Punto beats Vr6? and so? my original point was the GT's in this vid, standard are equal or there abouts, not some absurd performance diffrence as seen here. Are u so daft that u cannot understand that? Secondly if we are talking about modded variants, then no hot hatch can acheive more speed/power per ££ than R5 GT, unless u engine swap. FACT. It's the age of the car that allows it to be modified beyond the capabilities of anything this side of a Nissan Dett Unit or Corvette V8. Push rod 8V is in fact, the same artichecture as the Corvette lumps. 300BHP+ has been reached by 1.4GT turbos using original spec, ie 1.4litre lump Tune ability per ££ is untouchable but not needed. Take a ride in a 'proper' Mod R5 GT pushing 160bhp+ & u will understand. R5 GT, 205 GTI, Golf GTI are LEGEND, for good reason. Punto just another car.
