It's no secret that Colorado's 6th congressional district leans conservative. Congressman Tom Tancredo won the last two elections by roughly 20 percentage points. With Tancredo not seeking re-election, the republican primary is the race to watch. Independent Thinking has all four candidates: Secretary of State Mike Coffman, businessman Wil Armstrong, State Senator Ted Harvey and State Representative Steve Ward -- for a debate hosted by yours truly.
Conservatives can get choosy about what they really want in their Congressman here. I want someone that will challenge the status quo, make changes in spending priorities and get done what needs done without raising taxes. That is why I am for Steve Ward. He wants Congress to define success in Iraq so that we can win and finish. We need his experience and we need his leadership in this district. Do the wise thing and please consider voting for Steve Ward!

I absolutely agree with your comment about Steve Ward on the Four-Way Congressional Debate video. I first leaned towards one of the other 3 and then saw the March 31 debate where Steve asked all of the other candidates exactly the question that I had for them and he didn't get real good answers. Steve Ward puts available resources to work to get done what can be done better than any of them without raising taxes. He has a good record and good experience in business, military and politics.

WHAT A LOPSIDED WIN FOR STEVE WARD! After listening to 3 others talk about themselves it was nice to hear Ward actually discuss real issues; the war, energy, security, the economy, the deficit and taxes. I don't buy Wil's point. Frankly I'd prefer a rep like Ward who gets things done in the legislature. "I've balanced more budgets and cut more taxes than all of the other candidates, combined" -Ward can be proud of that record. Along w/ his biz and military exp he's clearly the best of the four.
