It Must Be ABC (1992) - Custom 1:50 Promo!

Alright everyone, until an official full-length version of 1992's It Must Be ABC makes it to YouTube (or any viral site, for that matter), this is closest we're going to get to an extended version of the network campaign.

I have produced my own custom take on the campaign by mixing in elements from all shorter It Must Be ABC spots, along with a lyrical audio portion near the end that has been hidden on YouTube for quite some time. Last week, after coming across episodes of the 1991 ABC revival of Land of the Lost (with Timothy Bottoms in the John Forsythe role), I discovered that a number of the closing credit sequences had a portion of the It Must Be ABC promotional theme played in lieu of network voiceovers. This was a standard practice in the early 1990s on other ABC Saturday morning shows, especially during the America's Watching era (1990-92). This inspired me to finally put together something resembling a full-length promo for this elusive campaign.

Many of the clips are from the November 1992 sweeps promo, which used the special tagline "You & Me" (yes, just like ABC's 1980 campaign) to promote the Jacksons TV movie, among other events. However, the elements of It Must Be ABC were still used. A contingency from the Saturday morning lineup is used, but I wish the audio on that clip was better!

Interesting trivia: the official full-length promo ended with the slogan and logo formation seen in 1:40-1:43 of this video, followed by a clip of Baby Sinclair on the set of Dinosaurs, sittiing in his kitchen highchair, holding a remote as he said "This now concludes our broadcast day!". He clicks the remote, where the screen disappears, and a tiny white ABC logo appears against a black background (a visual taken from the spring 1992 "Shows that make you go.." campaign). The ABC logo stands still and then falls to its left and off the screen, accompanied by a cartoonish sound effect.

This isn't the official promo for ABC's '92 campaign..just a custom mix of clips I have put together. I don't think I have any Fox campaigns in my possession..as far as my personal archive goes, I would have already come across them.

I MIGHT have what you're looking for. I have a full version like the one @apotheounSTK uploaded, and it includes the lyrics in yours ("If it's Indy, Urkel & Roseanne," etc.) . Idk the exact length of it time-wise, but it's pretty long. It's on a tape from June of 92, if that helps. We'll try to upload it asap.

If I could customize the lyrics of this promo it would be from 1:04 to 1:11. It would say, "If it's Indy, Urkle and Roseanne, Doogie Howser, Home Improvement, Recess, Doug and Pepper Ann."
