One term Congress gets free healthcare and pensions for life.

Here is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to each of the U.S. Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the personal benefit of Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to each of the citizens of the United States. "

Now, that they no longer have a super-majority, it is time for the dumocrats to go back to the drawing board and create a real health care reform package.

I would LOVE to see what the Republicans would say if/when the anti-trust bill reaches the congresss for debate. My bet is that the same congressmen who are against health care reform will be agianst this legislation because of their ties to the insurance indusrty.

I do not see how buying insurance across state lines would be beneficial, the insurance cartel would just collude and raise premiums to a regional or national level. The answer is more competition from more insurance providers.

No the Goverment option is a bad deal for every one. You can not ad burocracy and regulation and increase the service load then claim it will lower the cost. NO WAY! Much less increase quality or availibity. Their is never going to be free healthcare. The dept will be spread through taxes but the cost will rise. You can ignore true if you like. I have no intrest in this. do not work in any way in healthcare. I am not rich. This is just one more area goverment should not be!
