Guinness World Record Kazoo Band

On August 31st, 2007 two thousand seven hundred and eighty eight "musicians" gathered at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, Oregon to attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Kazoo Ensemble. The event was coodinated by Uptown Music's Jim Nardi and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes baseball team as a benefit for the Keizer Community Food Bank, and raised over a ton of food for the area's needy families and individuals. The attempt was adjudicated by Keizer City Councilors Richard Walsh and Jim Taylor, and McNary High School Band Director Dave Hodges served as the "band's" conductor.
