@joe50189 The facts do not support most of your comment. Statistics show most confrontations actually happen within 21 feet. The comment about ballistic vests is misleading. Very few bad guys wear them, statistically. The .38 & .38 Special have been used & were the STANDARD for police departments all over the US for DECADES. Now many dept/agencies favor 9MM, .10MM, .40, .357 Sig, among other semi-autos for # of rounds carried & ease of reload. Your knowledge of firearms is lacking. Wow.

@flashstrikewing I can't tell from your post if you're trolling, kidding or what. Do you actually believe it's unwise to carry every day? If so, please explain why. I wrestled with when to carry and decided if I only carried in places I thought were dangerous I could just avoid those places. Seeing as you never know when something may happen I decided the only thing that made sense was to carry wherever I legally can. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

It all depends on what you wear. Its really easy to conceal during the winter but during summer it can be fairly hard for women to conceal it on their person. Instead of using a purse. Which I would urge women not to conceal it in their purse because that is the first thing a mugger will go for.

anyways, good for you for carrying, I'm a woman as well who carries everyday, I'm also a bail bondsman, gun shop owner and range safety officer...I wish more women would carry, and would NOT choose purse carry which in my opinion is useless and dangerous. My husband agrees with me and we both advocate carrying on your person.
