Now you did not use Rev 3:14 which says according to the New American Standard Bible: "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: "

Col 1:15 says: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." NASB.

When you use a better translation, not that NASB is perfect, it is harder to prove your point. Jesus was EVERYTHING the firstborn was! The obvious PRIMARY definition is BORN FIRST!

Rev 3:14 uses the Greek "Arche" which can mean Ruler or Originator. Rev 21:6 & 22:13, John quotes God Almighty as stating that He is the beginning and the end.

@maurices5000 Since this passage teaches that Jehovah God is the beginning, does this mean that Jehovah God had a beginning? Obviously Not! So, what is Jehovah God the 'beginning' of? Isnt it obvious that He is the 'beginning' of the whole created universe? Since Jehovah is the 'beginning' of His creation does this prove that Jehovah Himself had a beginning?

Ok, now prove that holy spirit is God, co-equal, co-eternal, omnipotent, and omniscient! You will never find it! It can't be proven! But it is essential to prove the Trinity.

Now why did you quote the NIV bible? Because you know it is a PARAPHRASED version. If you did not, then son, you need to do more research before you start coming out in public making statements like this.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was EVERYTHING the firstborn was including Excellence. Both are RIGHT!

@maurice, Acts 5:3-5, 2 Corinthians 3:17, and Hebrews 3:7-11 all show that the Holy Spirit is a Person, and he is Jehovah God. The NIV is a far more superior Bible then the excuse of a translation the NWT is. Atleast actual Bible, Greek and Hebrew scholars worked on the NIV, and not a group of men who just think they know what they are doing.

@Newagegamer3018 Jesus is a god because he is a ruler, a king, like all the other rulers are gods. But more so than any other person Jesus is a god because of his EXCELLENCE! Or did you miss that point? He was GIVEN a name above every other name to the Glory of God the Father.

Honestly man, have you read the book: Truth in Translation by Jason David BeDuhn. He discuss bible translations and these scriptures very well. Take a look at it. If you really want it, I'll buy it for you.

Son comes from the father or he would not be a son define what a son is ? Define what pagan is ? Define what "greater" Jesus bowed and prayed to someone greater than himself......I understand why ex jw's end up not believing in the bible but you change every scripture and twist and turn it all around I find conflicts with the bible and religon period

well i can't understand what they believe because GOD said in job 38 he created everything , so if they believe jesus created everything and GOD said he created everything in job 38 who is jesus not GOD ? again jehovah witnesses read your bible please and stop having people interpret the bible for you
