[CANCELED] The Smash Bros. Makes Everything Awesome fanvid contest!

August 1 2008: Canceled due to lack of interest. If you're in the middle of a vid for the contest, I'll still give you a comment if you post it as a response.

(NOTICE 7/6/08: Slight change of prizes - I meant to specify that I'll be commenting on FANvids but didn't. This is fixed now!)

To celebrate Super Smash Bros. Brawl finally being out in Europe, I'm holding a contest! My challenge to you: make a fanvid using any song that has appeared in any Super Smash Bros. game. The original songs and any canon remixes are also more than welcome!

HEY SO IT OCCURRED TO ME THE SEARCH ENGINE MAY ENJOY HAVING THE FANDOMS INCLUDED!? MAYBE.

With restrictions:
*Ecco the Dolphin (No Defender of the Future)
*Pokemon (...see video)
*Sonic the Hedgehog (Nothing after Sonic Adventure 2 besides Shadow the Hedgehog)
*Lion King (First and second films only)
*Balto (First and second films only)

Without restrictions:
*Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron
*Skies of Arcadia
*The Legend of Zelda
*Pikmin
*Metroid
*Animal Crossing
*Bambi
*And, of course, the Super Smash Bros. series itself.

Please feel free to suggest something!

PRIZES:
*First Place: I will comment on all of your fanvids. That's right - 100% of them, as of the end of the contest. I'll also subscribe if I haven't already.
*Second place: I will comment on half your fanvids - and I'll round up!
*Third place: Comments on a quarter of your fanvids, rounded up in case of fractions!

Plus, all videos entered will be placed in a playlist, as well as a comment on each one after judging is finished! SPARKY WILL BE DOING A LOT OF TYPING. :D

CONTEST ENDS August 5th, 2008 - so y'all have a month. Old vids and new vids are equally welcome, as are mashups - can't count those out in a Smash contest!

If you're asking what I think you're asking, this is more for fanvids. The vid "Smash Kombat" would be an example of what I'm thinking of. The zillions of 'Pikachu and Snake brawl while I play a random background track', not so much.

Unless the random background track actually sycs with the action or the fight video is edited to do so, of course. Gameplay is more than welcome, but if it doesn't sync with the music, this isn't the contest for it. :)

But of course! And you can use any songs that have been in any Super Smash Bros. game. Originals and Smash Bros. remixes are equally welcome. ^_^

If you'd like a list of songs from fandoms you know, I'd be happy to PM you! For instance, the latest Super Smash Bros. has several Sonic songs. :)
