This is the longest piece I performed at my Rangapravesha. It lasted all of 50 minutes and was exhausting. Here you can see two stories being elaborated:

In the first story, a few Sadhus gain a lot of power due and become haughty. They decide to undermine Shivas power and decide to attack him. They attack him with a charging deer, a ball of fire, a snake, a tiger and an elephant. Shiva conquers all of them. Then they send a dwarf demon and Shiva dances on the demon.

In the second story, Shiva is said to be the representative of begining and end of all things. So his head and feet extend to infinity. Vishnu and Brahma take on a challenge to see the top of Shivas head and the bottom of his feet. Vishnu becomes a bird and flies up and Brahma becomes a boar and burries underground. They both fail and acknowledge Shivas greatness.

Bharatanatyam Varnam Aadum Daivam Arulva performed by Sindhoor at her Rangapravesha / Arangetram, in ADA Rangamandira, Bangalore. Raga Kalyani, Tala Adi.

  • @VrindavaniDeviDasi Thank you for your feedback. These are good points you have observed. I am working on those points. Please view my latest views and do let me know what you think of these

  • That's a decent performance, room for improvements though. Thats not a small thing to say given the length of the performance. Congratulations from Argentina.

  • @zaturnal Thanks for the critique. I do agree there is plenty room for improvement. That's what keeps me practicing every day :) I believe the practice is paying off. I have uploaded a more recent video. Please do review and tell me what you think. I look forward to your comments
