@EG10Deep he got in trouble 2 years ago and never since He got caught with coke ONCE then led Jacksonville in receiving despite missing 3 games and then drank a beer on a golf course which was a violation of his probation. Meanwhile guys like Pacman Jones get a dozen chances, not to mention guys like Mike Williams and Dwayne Jarret have had off field problems/personal life trouble. I guess the standards are different for Matt right?

Last I heard, like 2 or 3 months ago, he decided to try his hand in Europe at basketball. I know that he turned down an offer from the Redskins mid-season. I am pretty sure that is was a frustration thing after the Cincy camp. One of the local sports writers saying it is hard grading Jones with only the 3 attempts thrown to him in the preseason. They favored less troublemakers like TO, no wonder Palmer refuses to come back.

@chrislongram4life i agree with every single statement but several teams offered him a contract but he told them he was planning on retiring. it killed me to hear that. cause im a 6'4 white wide receiver. aka he was my hero/most potential out of any wide rciever ever. everybody thought calin johnson was a freak they hae baiscally the same numbers agility vertical an forty wise, except matt jones is 6'6.

i think he just got cut by the bengals at the end of preseason. There were just too many receivers on the team especially after they signed TO. He might be picked up by another team because he does have some upside.
