The following video demos the integration of .NET Micro Framework with an MPEG-4 Video Decoder on a Blackfin processor. The video is displayed at 30 fps 320x240 with a color depth of 24bpp.

The decoded video is accompanied by the framecount and two JPEG images. The two JPEG imges are being decoded and scaled to 10% of their original size. The JPEGs swap position at a rate of 3Hz.

  • wonderful, but we must use extra hardware for video option in MF.

  • There is no need for extra hardware.

    This is natively supported on the Blackfin. All that is needed in hardware is connecting Blackfin to an LCD (which already exists on the EZKIT.
