he had a piece commishoned for himself called khan and that was okay, sounded just like every other song with an asian theme. there was homages to 3 tapestries, and amazing grace. and a celebration and fanfare type song for NM allstate

yeayea. that guy was cool. he'd be all "shitagaki, naotinako" and say "thank you for the good rehearsal, now lets go eat" or something crazy like that lol. he's cool though.

Ha! is that what everyone calls it? our allstate had a guest conducter who arranged the particular whip and spur we were playing and he called it the baton solo too. yeah, like 2 or 3 ppl played. that was bad.

OMG I love this song! I played this last year in the 2007 AZ Central Regional band in the euphonium section. Love it!
