  • To all who are curiois, this problem was solved by replacing the Inducer motor,. Despite all the sounds that were water-like, it was ssimply the inducer, or rather the bearings in the Inducer., Part replaced by Licensed Trane serviceman, and problem solved.

  • aunt bea.....call the man!

  • ran into this problem before so I know what's occuring. however i feel this video would have been ten times better had the panel been taken off. but, it is good knowledge for a tech fresh out of school.

  • the bearing where rusted to hell!! thats a bypass flow threw type humidifer to most are around 17 gallons per hr

  • you DO NOT install humidifers in the return air plentum as this will suck the moist air threw the unit cabinet fan motor etc. not good for electical equipment

  • wrong

  • Looks like you opted to have a very good furnace put on shitty ductwork, and the installers probably didn't install it correctly. It does sound like water in the inducer housing. This is what happens when the homeowner tries to diagnose problems themselves because they're too fucking cheap to call a serviceman. Usually the customer ends up fucking everthing up before the serviceman gets there anyway. Quit fucking with it and call a serviceman.

  • Clean the entire condensate collection system. I heard all kinds of water sloshing around in there.

  • Trane furnances, especially the TUX and TUY models like this one, really need annual maintenance to run reliably. When I used to work on them, I had customer complain bitterly that these things should be able to run for for 15 or 20 years with no service. But these are a lot like your car. You wouldn't drive a car without changing your oil for a decade, don't put off furnace service either.

  • I thought i heard a chugging sound I also believe water has backed up inside this furnace.
