This is a short video showing my Intex Salt Water Chlorine Generator. I have been running it for 2 years now and have never had a moments trouble. Contrary to what some thing. You can barely taste the salt in the water. If the salinity is right then it is about as salty as ones tears. For anyone with an Intex Pool and are considering a salt water conversion, I highly recommend this.

  • If I want to be wet in my garden, I just have to walk out into it. English Summer - not that we haven't got hose pipe bans on the horizon because of the "drought".

  • @thatgaybloke So you are saying that English gardens in the summer make you moist? ;o) LOL

  • 20 000 litres water and 60 kg salt gets a 1/3 % saline concentration, isn't that a bit low? ( sea water 3 - 4 %) Does a higher concentation occur along the intake doing the job of killing bacteria? ( UV as well ?) Hope you get a good chance to enjoy it this summer, Cheers.

  • @SaintCog The bags of salt needed are 18 kg per bag. For a pool that is 1.2 m deep and 5.4 m round. 4 to 5 bags of salt is all that is needed.

  • Interesting. Except I live in Ireland and the weather here right now is probably what you would expect to have over there in .... say ... January. Ugh.

  • @rozeboosje Oh if that were the case I would be freezing my cha-cha's off. LOL

  • i took my salt gen back. it had to run like 10 hours just to make a pint of salt cloride bleach. So now i just add a little clorox every other day. perfect!

  • @GoMetricToday I'm wondering if it's possible for a man to say "moist" and not sound gay? I suspect not.

  • @GoMetricToday Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring.

  • @SaintCog The beauty of this system is that it doesn't need a lot of salt to produce a safe chlorine and algaecide. The concentration is no more salty than ones tears.
