Probably one of my favorite songs from them. Idk it just speaks volumes about the reality within the hypocrisy of religion. About how it can save everyone, How it punishes the wicked, thats fucking bullshit. If their is a god I wanna punch that faggot in the face for all the innocent lives he allowed to be taken away just so his precious followers can believe in his all might plan. Fuck god, and fuck your zombie jew.

Fucking brutal. By far my favorite, and one of the most talented metal bands around these days.
I've seen a few people posting "TBDM is gay," or "fags."
What I say to these people is...come to a Black Dahlia show here in Detroit and say that shit...I very highly doubt that you'll leave the venue under your own power ;)

is it just me, or does this song and eyes of thousand so more like 'old' bdm? like more melodic death metal than just straight up death metal? if not, I'll shut up.

@dearpsychonaut hahaha it's true. Within the month i wrote this i gave this album a second chance and i actually listen to Deflorate more than Ritual. Obviously when a band gets a new member it takes a little to get used to but it's good not to jump to conclusions. The guitarist actually fits well. I would have been missing out on a really good album!

@TheyCameAndWent if you knew anything about the black dahlia you would know that john didnt even help with the writing process. brian wrote all of the solos when they had john with them. he was a cunt.

First off I do think Ryan Knight is a great addition to the band, and tbdm should be thankful to have him. But c'mon, so many comments are saying that Ryan Knight took them to new heights and blah blah blah. Ryan filled the spot of an already great guitarist. If you want to thank someone, thank Brian. If Brian were replaced say goodbye to this band. Look at what John is writing now w/o Brian - (Graves Ablaze.) It is still good but missing the brilliant touch of Brian. Ryan solo's. Brian creates.
This entire album is a total masterpiece
