Usually they're. Are you saying that the business class car is marked coach class? I've failed to understand that as well why.

how come all business class coaches arent marked business class?

Also because business class cars are supposed to be in the front of the train because it gives those passengers easy access to the cafe car.

i frequently take train 89/90 the palmetto and initially they had a full coach as the businessclass car but it was marked coachclass now they have a combined coach/cafe car for businessclass which has about 20 businesclass seat upfront and the other half is the cafe car. the car itself is marked as a cafe. but now in the northeast where i am alot of times the businessclass cars are marked but not always.
