I gotta give Tara credit for being such an incredible fighter at such a young age. It seems that having that competitive spirit is absolutely vital to this sport. She certainly should not have been placed over Chen, as Tara's skating skills and artistry were not in the same league as Chen's, but the girl could spin like a top! I think she needed the bad short program to give her a reality check, just as Kwan needed it in 1997; skaters seem to come back after such performances.

@greekluv85 No. Just no. The whole performance by Chen was FAR superior to this - although agreed, the techinical content was awesome!

@greekluv85 Naw, Chen had two HUGE lutzes. I would have placed her third, above Slutskaya.

Wow, I placed her 2nd in the freeskate over Lu Chen. Her technical merit was just first rate.
