Disco dancing in the roaring 20s? Maybe. At least there's a hint on film
that might prove it. See it here.
Actually that suggestion is a sort of come-on. Those 20s dancers could have been line dancing to a polka for all we know, but the movements were so inductive of 60s and 70s disco dancing they begged to be displayed together.
Notice the absence of any sensual hip movements in the 20s dancers as opposed to the 70s and 60s dancers.
* If you're wondering how Clark Gable got into this...Where else could you see the Clarkster " Gittin' down!" as only he, praise goodness, could.
