The 'lather' effect you get from shampoo is the sulfates in it. Shampoos that lather are really bad for your hair.

if your friend is black then it makes sense that she only washes her hair once a week. she most likely doesnt need to wash it more often than that.. i only wash my hair once a week too. and my hair is def not dirty or greasy or smelly :-) ..but if shes NOT black.. then yeah idk lol
