Seventy-seven students from Albright's Accelerated Degree Completion Program, 22 students from the traditional day program and four master's degree students, received diplomas at Albright College's Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

Joni S. Naugle, a 1989 Albright graduate and resident of Wyomissing, Pa., delivered the commencement address.

Naugle is a founding member and principal of FOCUSED, LLC where she helps business leaders and their organizations increase both personal and team accountability through training, workshops and customized consulting. As part of her business, Naugle also chairs a local Vistage Chief Executive Peer Advisory Group.

She has more than 25 years experience in the banking industry -- 19 years with Sovereign Bank as senior vice president of marketing, retail banking and alternative delivery systems; and six years with Patriot Bank as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Throughout her career, Naugle has provided leadership for more than 30 merger integrations.

She is a graduate of Albright College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University, and the Center for Advanced Emotional Intelligence.

Naugle volunteers with many community organizations. She is currently on the boards of the United Way of Berks County, the Berks County Community Foundation and the Berks Conservancy. She also serves on the Albright College Community Leaders Advisory Council, the Albright College Center for Excellence in Local Government Advisory Council, and the Community Benefit Committee of the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She and her husband, David, chaired the 2004 Berks County United Way Annual Campaign, exceeding the $8.15 million goal benefiting health and human services in Berks County.

Founded in 1856, Albright College is a nationally ranked, private college with a rigorous liberal arts curriculum with an interdisciplinary focus. The College's hallmarks are connecting fields of learning, collaborative teaching and learning, and a flexible curriculum that allows students to create an individualized education. More than half of students have dual/individualized majors in as many as 200 different combinations annually. Albright enrolls about 1,660 undergraduates in traditional programs, another 800 adult students in accelerated degree programs, and 100 students in the master's program in education. Albright College is located in Reading, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles west of Philadelphia.

Albright's Accelerated Degree Completion Program is designed for the working adult student to complete a bachelor's degree in approximately 24 months while attending one evening per week. Since the program's inception in 1997, Albright has expanded its program to nine regional classroom locations serving 10 counties throughout eastern and central Pennsylvania. Classes are held in Allentown, Bethlehem, Blue Bell, Exton, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Media, Pottstown and Reading. Albright's Accelerated Degree Start Program allows students to jump start an undergraduate career and earn the general studies portion of a bachelor's degree in as little as two years, while working full time.

The graduate program in education leads to a master of arts or a master of science degree and offers three concentrations: general education (which includes secondary education content areas), PK-4 early childhood education and special education. Candidates can also pursue teacher certification in an area completing the master's degree.
