Nine-year-old Ralph Gabriel and his six-year-old brother Kensley lost both parents in the earthquake when their house collapsed. The boys were separated immediately after the quake, but luckily they found each other. Both boys now live in a residential care centre for orphaned children supported by UNICEF. Young Kensley is still deeply traumatized by the tragedies he's experienced, and Ralph takes care of his younger brother as best as he can.
In this emotional story, we hear of Ralph's terrifying experience, and the support he and his brother have received thanks to the work of UNICEF. We see Ralph walking through one of the largest camps where he would be living if he had not been taken in at the residential care centre. We see him caring for his younger brother as well as receiving psychosocial counselling, educational support and learning materials at the UNICEF-supported centre.
