On Mon, Feb. 11, 2008, Ron Paul's Finance Director Jonathan Bydlak and Internet Director Justine Lam spoke to GWU's Internet & Politics class about online fundraising.

In this video Bydlak describes how the campaign's decision to make their financial contributions transparent (posting contributors and total money raised on their website) empowered grassroots supporters to fundraise for Ron Paul...leading to the $4 million "money bomb."

  • I think you missed the point. Our fund raising has made history and what this video says is that it wasn't really planned, it happened and they are still trying to figure out how it happened. You know some kind of formula that can be used over and over again. Huckabee has tried and failed. I don't have enough room here to give you my take on why it worked so well but the short answer is Freedom is popular.

  • Don't these people have a campaign to be running?

Why the hell are they giving away all our secrets *BEFORE* the end of the race? They should do this sort of presentation NEXT year, if they want.
