Then take a screen shot on your macintosh.
Results are 72DPI images when you cut and paste the screen shot of the image into a new image.

The new image inside PREVIEW, will be the pixel size at 72DPI that matches the source image requirements at the same 72DPI

We use 72DPI for source images and of course destination images in Pages, because it seems to be a good compromise in quality and compression size.
