I bought a new bicycle and thought I would take you guys along for a ride on the Silver Comet Trail. It's a trail that runs from just outside Atlanta all the way to the Alabama line and then another trail picks up there and goes over to Anniston, Alabama. All together it adds up to about 100 miles of paved dedicated bike path. If any of you live within an hour or two of Atlanta and want to get a group of YouTubers together for a bike ride, let me know. That might be fun!

  • hey man would love to ride with ya some time. hit me up.

  • @thirst216 Hey sounds good! -Jim

  • Jim that is a beautiful place for biking. Wish i didn't live so far away I would love to try riding my bike again but not 16 miles for sure..

  • Dolores I wish you were close by and we'd go for a ride. I never thought I could make it a mile let alone 16. LOL This is my first bike riding experience in almost 30 years. Actually, since it's on an old trail line, it's relatively flat so that makes it much easier and enjoyable.

  • cool trail and bike!

  • Thanks Maria. It's a new toy and I'm having fun with it.

  • was the trail windy. Here in Los Angeles I ride the Los Angeles rivers and if it is windy it becomes a real drag.

  • im doing the whole thing on bike with my friend sometime soon here. ought to be fun

  • Silver Comet Trail is lovely. I walk it Saturday mornings. Trying to get a new bike so I can start back riding.

  • @1117sal WOOT

  • Anniston, Alabama is my hometown. Lived there 25 years. I remember when they were removing the train tracks and putting that trail through there. It passes near my grandmother's house.

  • Better enjoy it while you can... The BNSF will have trains running back here by 2013, so enjoy it while you can, better to see AC4400's & SD-70ACe's pulling trains, not dumb bikers... BTW fellow it was The Seaboard Air Line Railroad andthe Silver Copmet ran from 5.48 to 6/69. Enjoy it while you can !!!!!!

  • Awesome trail! I think you will enjoy biking and will be pleased with the results. Have a friend who has been riding of late and ..well, I tell ya..I could tell.. ;) Check out a camelback hydration system ..those are cool, especially in these temps.

  • dude, what happened, i had the car waiting for you just a few hundred yards from that bench you were slackin off and resting on, then poof , you were gone and i had to freakin get up the strength to drive that thing allllll the way back to have it waiting on you. Man i thought you were a nice guy too....lol
