  • I guess it has to do with one's level of commitment. The Church.. like all organizations.. has rules. If one is not willing to follow the rules.. then there are consequences. Some people think it is ok to goto lunch and have a few beers and return to work. But if that is contrary to published rules.. then one would have to expect some sort of retribution for not adhering to procedures and policies.

  • It really doesn't matter what the rules are. If you are participating in the organization's programs and are violating the rules.. then I would expect that until the level of commitment is there.. it would be better to be at home and decide what you want to do and what is important to you.

  • Did this post right?

  • The bishop says to pray about the self abuse. He says when I do it that I am violating the word of wisdom.

I still believe that Joseph Smith and Brigham were inspired by God, but I don't agree with the way the church sends me home early just over some simple stupid thing like self abuse.

We are only human, I am sure nephi had challenges he had to face? Right?

He had to serve the Heavenly Father.

  • Pray about what? The Book of Mormon? The Book of Abraham? Joseph Smith? Soul connection with God? Or self abuse? And I am not sure you want to talk in an open forum like this.

  • well it looks like you have good insight on the church what do i need to do? I have talked to the bishop and he says just pray about it.

  • Wow. What can I say to that?

  • i like this vid, i served a mission for the church but the mission president sent me back home when i only had 6 months left because of self abuse.

I am now becoming really liberal in my thinking as a mormon. I reject the book or mormon and the book of abraham.

I still believe it is good to try to follow the word of wisdom.
