@Drunkenminister : The flow of water does change a bit but as all the hydro-electric turbines, regulating valves/ flood gates, cleansing mechanism of silt and deposits, building of waste treatment plants along the banks are swung into high gear, the stagnant wastes will be kept under control.
As I said earlier in the justification of building the dam, the overall benefits outweighs the costs.
@zeeyeezone How do you explain the overall slow down in the Yangztes natural flow rate that are now leaving wastes stagnant, contaminating local water supplys? Or are your comments just simply pro-technology regardless of overall cost?
...truckers, restauranteurs, hotel owners ( all engendered by the thriving flow of vessels, people, goods and businesses after the construction) ... or if they prefer, retaining their works in more remote or higer grounds!
