@thanx4music Because it's a difficult piece. There's a period there where the tempo is so high and alto 2 (I think) sings counterpoint. Very difficult to sing well, but when it is, the notes achieve a very crisp quality that couldn't have been achieved without the counterpoint.
I can't believe that a children's rhyme in my own local Maranao dialect would end up sung by Singapore choir! We used to sing this during games.... brings back my childhood :-)

They didn't achieve it, IMO. The notes sounded muddled to me.
