Daniel, I thank God for your prayer request. Ask God, before all things, for a heart that pleases him and longs for him and acknowledges Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah. In 1 John he says that those who are the children of God have overcome the WORLD by this victory: faith. His burden is light, and his salvation is far greater than anything you could do to screw up. He loves you unconditionally, and remember He forgives, although you sin, He knows you are not perfect and you make mistakes.. As goes for your girlfriend, she would have left you by now if she didn't love you, i know its sad but hey if your doung your best and love her thats all that matters... Never give up! I am in high school and its hard going to a tough school but it will get better, i know best of luck

Something that speaks to me about this song is the fact that Christ makes the act of repentance real, and meaningful for radical change. And also, the fact that we thank him for things that sound totally counter-intuitive - ruining us for other things, devastating parts of us - along with the things that seem obvious, like his power to bring us hope and joy. Nothing else in this world tells us not only to stop doing evil, but to stop doing "good" for evil reasons. God is goodness.

@jtiskool305 well... to say stop with the God stuff is a little much when the song is talking about the Holy Spirit.... I mean come on man... lol.. kinda hard to stop talking about it when it is directly in the song itself.
