Fastest thing is to replace the main motor with a new one. The Walkera motors are known for ware out quite fast.
If you want to go brushless, I would look at the UFLY to see if you can re-use the main BL motor and ESC from it. The tail motor is another storry so if it works I would leve it brushed.
If you want more power and if you are ready for the next step, I would probably recommend getting a UFLY. It is not as stable but will fly as a real single rotor heli.

Yes, the inrunner is the 31714 with the 14T pinion. I got it from WOW hobbies and it flew great out of the box. The other is the HP08-2 out runner that I upgraded. I like the inrunner the best.
