People are singing...the ones in the choir. This is a choral Gloria, perfectly acceptable in a Vatican II Mass. Even the American bishops have written as much (see "Sing to the Lord").

Papa Marcelli in a parish church, FANTASTIC! I thought only we Anglicans did this sort of thing. All the RC's in my area sing Glory and Praise with guitars and hand clapping!

Why aren't people sitting after the Gloria is intoned? I know they do in the Tridentine Rite of Mass, but this is not so in the NOvus Ordo?
