@shanewthomson Great clip, thank you. i hope Garrett comes back from "the dark side soon" before they make him into a bigger scapegoat than what they have done and make the population lose trust in the Oils and their followers. Not unike the usa did to John Lennon, they killed him off (although not as quick) but by making the public lose Faith which is what all Dictatorships do. i hope he finally has enough and say f$%^k 'em all and the Oils rise again and fill venues worldwide.

@COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY Aboriginals have to start "respecting" themselves and other people and their belonging's before any one will respect them. Australia is so multiculturalised now we have lost our dislike for aboriginals the only thing that people disrespect about aboriginals now is the fact they treat other peoples stuff and stuff that they have and their "country" like SHIT. It's not lost to them they just can't be bothered fighting anymore which is understandable but not respected.

@F0rtysxity Hi, must have been around '93 or so. Got the whole wonderful set on a VHS somewhere, obviously was part of the MTV Unplugged series. The Oils are still sorely missed!!!

@F0rtysxity Thank you for new knowledge: I had to listen to this again and was amazed that the didgeridoo indeed plays only one note. That makes skilled players like this one even more amazing.

@CanTake8 I'd like to hear that version as well... but think it's worth noting that the didgeridoo plays only one note... so it is probably buried on purpose... and the song without any harmonic changes probably wouldn't be as good as we are imagining it...

The best thing about Midnight Oil is that they believe in a strong multi-cultural Australia. Too many people get uptight saying things like Pete Garrett has abandoned his race / people. That he only supports the "darkies". What rubbish. The Oils embody everything that Australia is. Good and bad. And their message is (with a bit of get yer shit together boys) we are all here in this lucky land - let's shake hands and see what we can do.
