Rachel goes to see Mac at his office after returning from her trip. Liz Matthews, Mac's then-secretary, is also there, but she leaves the couple alone after Rachel's arrival.

When they're alone, Mac asks Rachel if he can come and see Amanda tonight. She tells him yes, and adds that she has invited Ada and Nancy for supper, and she invites Mac to stay and eat with them. Mac can't think of anything he wants to do more. "Maybe we're gonna be able to work things out, you think?" Mac asks Rachel.

"Well, we've worked worse things out," Rachel replies. Then she has to go, because she has to pick up Ada. But Mac stops her by calling her name and opening his arms. Rachel crosses the office and goes into Mac's arms, and they embrace tightly. Mac tells Rachel how good it is to have her home, and Rachel says it's good to be home. Mac tells her he's been raging at her, and Rachel confesses that she missed Mac's rages. In fact, she missed everything about him. She tells him they still have to settle some things, and they'll talk about them tonight, and with one last kiss, she leaves. After Rachel is gone, Mac does the cutest leap of joy into the air and yells out in joy at having Rachel back, then calls Liz back into the office. When Liz remarks on Mac's good mood, Mac says he's going to stay that way and hugs Liz and kisses her on the cheek before heading to his desk with a big smile on his face. Thanks to Eddie for the scenes.

  • Doug Watson, Vicky Wyndham and even Irene Dailey; Soap Opera Actors at their finest....the actors in the soaps today can't hold a candle to these pros.....they are sorely missed.

  • I just read that Irene Dailey died at the end of September at the age of 88. A truly gifted actress, who as "Aunt" Liz, could have you hating and feeling sorry for her in the same scene. A well deserved daytime emmy in 1979! RIP Irene Dailey!
