Tetris The Grand Master -- Grand Master in 11:56.90 (1/2)

Not my best result (which is 11:30:18 using Mono mode, 11:40:xx using no 'cheats'), I'm still reasonably happy with the result. A couple of significant mistakes, but I manage to pull through pretty well. There are a small number of other TGM Grand Master performances on youtube, but they're all "gimmick" based, so I created this one.

This is the first in a set of arcade games by Arika. This game is the easiest in the series, but by no means a pushover. This was recorded on an emulator and is in two parts to work around the youtube 10 minute limit.

This half contains levels 0 to just over 500.

Depends. This is an arcade game; it's not enough to just win, you have to make the high score list. That's why I talk about speed - the high score list is sorted by grade (Gm is highest, so that's maxed out), then time.

As far as we're concerned, speed is sufficient to measure skill. If not, take it up with the game designers for not making tetrises an aspect of the highscore list.
