you know, i've spent the better part of this evening listening to all of Sugar Ray's songs, and have to say i've enjoyed every second i've heard.

I think this is their best song and the epitome of who they were musically. It combines elements of their ealier and later works. I kinda feel like they would agree with me here because regardless of any changes all the music they made as Sugar Ray they made as Sugar Ray.

Sugar ray. such an enigma. On one hand, they had shitty pop songs I really couldn't stand, on the other hand they had grungy alt rockers like this. I mean, really, this is the final form of 90's alternative rock.

For that reason, I really respect Sugar Ray. They knew they needed to make money, so they sold out and did the MTV thing, made sing-along songs like "every morning", they knew they wouldn't be around forever, hence the title "14:59".

But they still put songs like this on it. Props.
